5-Ingredient Bars

  • 1 cup dates
  • 1 1/2 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup almonds (chopped)
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter
  1. Preheat oven to 350 F°

  2. Process 1 cup dates in a food processor until small bits remain
  3. Toast oats for 10-15 minutes, until golden brow
  4. Place oats, loosely chopped almonds and dates in a large mixing bowl
  5. Warm 1/4 maple syrup and 1/4 peanut butter in a small saucepan over low heat
  6. Stir and pour over oat mixture and then mix
  7. Transfer to an 8×8-inch baking dish or other small pan lined with plastic parchment paper so they lift out easily
  8. Press down firmly until flattened
  9. Cover with parchment paper
  10. Put it in the freezer for 20-30 minutes
  11. Chop into even bars
  12. Keep in freezer to keep them
